New music: Silence Is Golden

Silence Is Golden is our latest single, to be released on September 30th. In a time of growing division and digital noise, Silence Is Golden explores the quiet strength of being still and listening to one another. We wrote this song to remind ourselves, and anyone who’s open to it, that silence isn’t empty. It’s the space where real connection begins. When we stop pushing our own agenda and simply listen, we make room for someone else’s story.

Sometimes this is easier said than done. Recent terrors in the world sparked various discussions, even between the two of us. That moment when you feel you want to speak up, you feel your body going into a state of resistance, your mind starts racing, you are trying to find words that match the adrenalized emotions running full-speed through you. We are strong advocates of freedom of opinion and speech, but sometimes debate is also the place were we tend to lose sight of each other.

We were reading through online discussions, where people throw arguments at each other like knives. It is as if we forget that we are actually the same! We all consist of flesh and blood, we can relate to the same feelings, challenges, anxieties and hardships. We strongly feel, now more than ever, that we need each other! We need moments where we deepen our connections. Moments where we sit together, are silent and listen to each other. There are times when we need to speak up, but sometimes the most powerful thing we can say, is nothing at all.
